Perhaps someone else could arrange a meeting and you could achieve this?

Hello Helen you might get a better idea from the original thread which called 'Traffic on the Slade'. Way down at bottom of current page at moment.

Sorry missed earlier news can anyone give me a brief note of what the recommendations are please?
Since sleeping at the front of our home I hear cars racing through around 10.30 pm onwards, sometimes really screeching down Hughes Close & onto Sturt Ro& Slade. We definitely needs to slow traffic down.
Also aware of the increase in residents & others cycling up Market Street the wrong way, only a matter of time before nasty accident.

That's very interesting Christine, I wondered if a pedestrian crossing might be a good idea then drivers have to be aware it's likely they may have to stop. It works well by Fiveways shop up here, and there's a camera on top for those who don't obey it,appears to be quite expensive though.
I pity the poor toads at bottom of Slade that come out from by the stream .

This Cornwall site is quite useful in giving types of traffic calming, and also costs at the start of this year: https://www.cornwall.gov.uk/transport-and-streets/roads-highways-and-pavements/traffic-calming/

My posting included a picture scanned from the printed edition. I don't know whether it appeared in the on-line version yesterday but would probably have been available only to subscribers. Doesn't appear to be available today anyway.
Sorry.

Could this be a possible solution to the problem of speeding on The Slade?
