Looking at some photos in the museum from the turn of 19th century we do not have a thing to worry about, it looked knee deep in Market St!!. John H

No Phillip, by mostly men but sometimes women who are not prepared to pay 20p to use the toilets, no doubt they will be able to use toilets at the new building when it is opened

Presumably not by horses?

As regards the original post, that must be some horse if the complainant had to "wade" through the poo !!!

Why would anyone worry about up horse poo?

It's vegan, it rots down in nanoseconds, it smells sweet and for centuries it's been part of British life.

Growing up in the Liverpool slums, we used to chase the bin and dairy carts to collect it for the tomatoes. Approaching senility in the comfortable Wychwoods, anyone with sense also uses it for decent-tasting vegetables.

It unites us all.

Moaning about finding it on the pavement is like American tourists complaining about sheep droppings on footpaths - or tourists whingeing about church bells.

People will start finding excuses to whine about grass next. If avoiding horse poo matters, wouldn't you be happier living in Surbiton?

The people that live in Charlbury have changed! Dancers Hill is not outside Charlbury Station. Horse Poo? This is the Country, take a barrow or bag & do what Andrew has done, good lad, waste nothing! How does the song go? " Been a good year for the Roses"

The Bayliss Yard collection is now on a local compost heap :) Every crud has a silver lining.

Could the owner of the fouling horse(s) who've done their business all over the road outside charlbury station (dancers hill)kindly clear up the mess, which has extended to the footpath. It is no fun trying to wade this on your way home from Oxford etc in the dark

Thank you
