As a mum of a young adult who has worked both at the Bull & its sister pub/restaurant/ hotel. I am not surprised it is going downhill! The way the owners treat their staff is beyond reprehensible!

Thank you all for your ongoing support. We try our best on a daily basis to turn The Bell back into the pub we all deserve.

It's funny how things turn out isn't it. We all thought The Bull would return to its previous glory following the takeover by the the new owners and the Bell would continue to be a rather sad bar/hotel. Well, how wrong we all were! The Bull has disappointed with iffy service and equally iffy food while the Bell has soared. The Bell is now the 'go to' bar and restaurant in the town with food and service to envy while The Bull slides further and further down the popularity charts. Well done The Bell for the turnaround, full credit to you.

We had a lovely meal of starters tonight... Flat breads and smoked aubergine dip, padron peppers and whitebait with a garlic mayonnaise. All delicious and very reasonable. Love
the new menu! Also a nice lunch in new cafe and deli yesterday. Don't usually eat out so much but have no kitchen at the moment so great timing as far as I am concerned!

We had a very good meal here on the 22nd July. There is a new menu and there was plenty of choice. The crudités, warm flat bread and dips for a starter were shared between us and were delicious. Our main courses we're equally appetising and the chips just like homemade. Staff were, as usual, helpful and very pleasant.
