Confusing road signs.

Why are temporary road signs in the town always so inaccurate!
This week a sign for motorists on Sheep Street says, wrongly, that the road ahead is closed. There is a diversion sign directing traffic onto Fishers Lane.
However, for motorists on Fishers Lane there is no indication that Pooles Lane is closed until they reach the end of the street and begin to turn left, when a sign becomes visible.
