To solve the challenge some have of getting over to Hixet Wood, we will have a honesty box set up at 4 Enstone Road for those who would like to collect from there. Please just let us know that you want to collect from there when you order.

The box will be outside the garage/workshop at the end of the drive, with a small box inside to put your payment in. £3.60 a loaf... And you can collect on the day of your order from 4pm - starting this friday!

sorry - a few emails just come in and its clear my post was lacking in essential information!

you can collect the bread from The Bread Shed which is at 6 Hixet Wood - off the Charlbury Garage Forecourt, top house on your left as you come up the steep slope into the garage. Deep is currently baking on Tues and Fri - so bread ordered can be collected after 5 on Tuesdays or Fridays, also Saturday morning.

The Bread Shed wishes Charlbury a fabulous 2017...
After many questions over Xmas drinks, we were encouraged to post on the forum how you can get yourself a loaf in Charlbury (Chadlington Quality Foods and Chippy's Delicacy also stock his bread).

Deep is now baking regularly on Tuesdays and Fridays, and you can order your loaf by texting or ringing Deep on 07733360623 or emailing thebreadshed.deepbaked@gmail.com. Please order the day before as he ferments his dough slowly to make it as healthy and delicious as it can be.

There are a choice of breads available. Always available is the country loaf with cotswolds crunch, wholemeal, spelt or french white and baguettes. And then different speciality breads each bake, such as seeded rye, Borodinsky (a Russian malted rye), drunken fig, beetroot bread or walnut bread.

A true artisanal bakery, the Bread Shed specialises in sourdough bread that ferments slowly over 24 hours and is then baked in a wood fired oven. The Bread Shed uses organic flours, stoneground in Shipton Mill, and adds only 3 ingredients ?" water, salt and natural wild yeast. £3.60 for a 600g basic loaf or a 500g speciality loaf
