Flood alert not warning. Very different things. It's an alert of the whole Evenlode catchment, which is largely surface water feed and reacts to heavy rain quickly, and equally, drops quickly.

Further flood warnings for West Oxfordshire

The Environment Agency has issued more warnings for the River Evenlode and the River Glyme which could affect villages across West Oxfordshire.

People living in the following areas have been told to prepare for flooding:

Milton-under-Wychwood
Kingham
Shipton-under-Wychwood
Ascott-under-Wychwood
Charlbury
Fawler
Long Hanborough
Cassington
Wootton
Woodstock
