Yes Peter you are right and Blandford fly is certainly out there
So it's a goopd idea to cover up as much as possible and to spray with insect repellent if you want to see the bluebells

We went on our annual bluebell pilgrimage on Sunday to Stags Plain above Chilson Hill on the circular walk through Wychwood Forest (Grid Ref. 324183). They are particularly impressive and very intense blue this year but will soon be over. We particularly love this spot because of the incredible views of the Evenlode Valley as you emerge from the wood.

Just a word of warning though, I did get bitten by what I believe were dreaded Blandford Flies - beware!
