Yes Leah although by the time they see big lorries squeezing through alongside their cars not to mention perhaps some sharp language from the drivers this could be a further deterrent

The worst problem is some people turn in by the Co-op & park by the toilets, or go in & drive round the car park & come back out & park by the curb opposite the toilets, both result in half the road being blocked! Reason? They are too lazy/bone-idle & selfish to care about other people & walk 50 yards to the Co-op!!! "

There are still some who park on the double yellow lines outside the Co-op It is anti-social and dangerous but this may help - be warned
Motorists advised to steer clear of double yellow lines
Motorists obstructing traffic by parking illegally at any time of the day or night are at risk of receiving penalty charge notices from West Oxfordshire District Council.

As well as patrolling the streets and car parks during the day, the Council's Community Wardens carry out spot checks in the evening and Sundays at the request of the Police or in response to issues raised by residents and businesses.

Parking on double yellow lines and on the pavements adjacent to them is a recurring issue and one that is regularly breached during the evening and at night.
West Oxfordshire District Council is therefore reminding residents to check road parking restrictions and steer clear of parking on double yellow lines at all times in order to avoid a Penalty Charge Notice.
Cllr David Harvey, Cabinet Member said, "Parking restrictions are necessary for the safety of motorists and pedestrians as well as keeping roads clear and traffic moving. Our officers respond to complaints and patrol on an ad hoc basis which can be any time of the day or night."
