Mark, are you a member of Which?, the consumer rights organisation? If not, it might be worth joining (there is a £1 for a month trial deal etc.) at least for a while. This is the sort of issue they highlight and they have a decent amount of clout, with a good track record of getting companies to change their tune.

Monday morning at 8.15 am drive from Charlbury to Woodstock , full signal and conversation for the journey.
Monday evening at 19.30 , the same journey, lost signal 8 times , with long period of no coverage !
How can this be and what is going on ?
