Very sad to hear this news. I got to know Simon reasonably well when my Dad had The Bull. I grew very fond of Simon when I worked in the bar. My sympathies go out to the Hall family.

Although I haven't spoken to any of the Hall family for many years.

We weren't close friends or anything but did share a couple of interesting conversations over the years about Iraq and the steady failure of the military presence to maintain any kind of security in the regions.

Ironically, the last one of which specifically concerned the relative risks of earning a living in a war zone.
