I think I preferred Father Ted to Father Brown. Whether Charlbury is closer to 'Kembleford' or to Craggy Island in spirit, I couldn't comment.

Deborah, I'm afraid Cornbury is not allowed to reveal the name of the drama, although speculation is rife!

Alison, would be interested to know the name of the drama they were filming?

BBC Drama were filming at Cornbury Park yesterday - hence the big bangs. Apologies from Cornbury for any disturbance caused.

There is another thread on here in which someone states they is some sort of filming going on in the area, so looks like it be related.

Two big articulated lorries from a filming company on the slade just after 8pm tonight. Could be related?

I heard one at about 6:30 and then three in quick succession about half an hour later. Certainly not gunshots or bird scarers; far too deep; much more like explosions I would suggest.

We just heard that too! I thought it was a lifeboat boom (maroon) till I remembered I wasn't living by the sea.

We just heard one a short time ago made me jump, be interesting to know what it is. What are they filming at Cornbury Deborah, wonder if that's reason for low flying helicopters recently as well do you think?

Does anyone know what the loud bangs (sound like gunshots, except deeper, louder) that I keep hearing over the past couple of days, in the evenings are?? Is it linked to the filming, I think is going on in Cornbury??
