We would be very interested in doing a car boot sale in Charlbury, especially if it supported a local charity/club.

We found when arriving to do a bootsale.
Lock your car and go and have a cup of tea first.
Come back when more people have arrived. It' s cuts down on the number of boot huggers, they are mostly dealers who want something for nothing:)

Just to let everybody know that Charlbury Cricket Club are considering running a car boot sale 4 times a year to assist in raising funds for the new pavilion extension. We will keep you posted but it would be interesting to know whether this is of interest to Charlbury residents. Please note it is only a proposal at the moment.

You need to turn up at 7am and then you will queue for nearly an hour. It is behind Bakers Cash and Carry on Station Lane. It costs £6 per car, a bit more for vans.
Beware at the start...as you get out of your car to set up, you will get pounced on by the early bargain hunters who will be in the back of your car before you are! It's helpful if there are 2 of you.
People ususally pack up at around 11.30, depending on the weather.

There is a weekly boot at the Kassam Stadium in Cowley, Long Marston airfield near Stratford on Avon, both on sundays. I have just found one on a Saturday at Finmere Airfield, just north of Bicester there were about 140 sellers there 2 weeks ago.Nearer to home is Bakers Station Lane Witney, always well attended!

Does anyone know of any really good car boot sale to go and sell at? Has anyone heard of the one at a stadium in Oxford or on the road to Stratford?
