Just watched it on iPlayer and there was quite a lot of filming in and around Charlbury. I think you will find the 'ditching' took place on the road to Woodstock....lots of crops in the fields and loads of sunshine so obviously fo limed last summer.

They put a Peugeot in the ditch just south of Charlbury on the Witney road.
