That is so sad. I sometimes met him when walking my spaniels. He was a lovely man He always stopped for a chat.

I was saddened today to be told (by his daughter) that the lovely old chap (& I must apologise here, since I never got to know his name) who stabled horses in the fields up Ditchley Lane, had passed away very suddenly last week. He was a lovely character, from a bygone era, that I got know in passing on my dog walks. Whether on a horse, leading a horse, on his lovely old pony & trap or driving his beautiful antiquated tractor he was a prominent & well known sight in Charlbury & I, along with my dog, will sorely miss him. He was a one-off. My thoughts go out to his family.
