Yes, we used to have exactly this problem quite frequently when we lived in Ditchley Road, but we never got round to doing anything about it. It may be a problem that afflicts some roads (or even some parts of some roads)and not others.

Has anyone experienced any issues with intermittent voltage fluctuations to their power supply. We have a recurring problem with our main tripping and the electricians have indicated it is not a problem with our home wiring but a factor of the power dropping to a point where the main will trip when the power supply does not meet the demand. Very frustrating as it is not an overload. Southern Electric has come out and checked the connection but can't find anything amiss. We have not only the loss of power but also flickering lights. As we can ussually reset and it stays on for days without problems Southern Electric has not made it a priority. I wondered if anyone had experienced any similar issues. Thanks for any info or ideas.
