I saw the headline 'Villagers search for peacock's owner' on the BBC News website and thought we'd made national news! But it turns out to be a village in Derbyshire. They have a Memorial Hall too:

"One resident, Marilyn Balsom, said she heard a neighbour had become trapped in the village's Memorial Hall by the bird. 'The person was trying to leave and Kevin wouldn't let them out,' she said. 'You do hear other reports of him causing mischief.'"

If you know it's final resting place and owner please ring Richard Cocks on 810032 as Oxford Radio have asked him to let them know, so they can finish the story.

There's usually a couple that lives on The Slade at Sandford Mount. Haven't seen them for a while. Maybe it's them?

I would assume it's one of the Cornbury ones. Probably worth giving the estate office there a ring if it's still not found its way home.
