Fri 7 Dec 2012, 23:35 (last edited on Fri 7 Dec 2012, 23:38) Citizens may be interested to know that the new Charlbury Debating Society held its inaugural session in the Corner House on Friday evening. The motion, "After the financial crisis, Capitalism is now fatally discredited" (proposed by Malcolm Harper and opposed by Sue Mathews), was defeated by 21 votes to 15 with one abstention.
