No, the weight limit is nothing to do with the railway car park. Go to this site's News section and you can find :-

Weight restriction on river bridge

Oxfordshire County Council are about to impose a temporary 7.5T weight limit on the bridge over the Evenlode at the bottom of Dyer's Hill, by the railway station. The diversions, due to come into effect at the start of the week, are due to concern about the bridge structure. Heavy traffic will be asked to divert via Chipping Norton and Spelsbury.

At Enstone the green signage on the A44 when coming from Oxford has changed. Spelsbury is still mentioned, but Charlbury isn't. Does OCC want everyone to use the B4437 via Judds Garage rather than the B4022 via Worths? This is puzzling because the OCC priority winter route in and out of Charlbury is the B4022 Enstone Road, despite having steeper gradients than the B4437 Woodstock Road which rarely sees a gritter or snowplough.

Also, I have noticed some temporary 7.5 tonne lorry weight limit signs each side of the bridge over the Evenlode, is that to do with the station car park extension works?

If a lorry comes from Burford and comes to the bridge they'll have no option but to go over it as its not signposted on the A361, the same goes for the roads from Enstone! So typical of local councils putting things in place but useless and not thought out!
