Hello Julie - it was an inspiration to see everyone setting up for the fair on Saturday morning, despite the weather, and it was good to see so many people enjoying themselves there in the afternoon. Some people have recently been asking whether this Saturday's Beer Festival will be affected by the weather at all, and we're glad to confirm that we'll be following your lead and going ahead as planned. If the wet weather looks set to stay, there may be some adjustment to the layout of marquees etc., so as not to damage the cricket pitch, but we're looking forward to a great day down there as usual. So bring your friends, come and have fun, and support some great local causes, including the school.

Considering the weather, we were really pleased with the turnout for our first Summer Fair and would definitely like to see it get bigger and better and grow into a regular community event in the Charlbury calendar.

Thank you to everyone in Charlbury and beyond who supported the School in some way. We're very grateful to the Gifford Trust (for use of The Playing Close) and to the residents of The Playing Close (for supplying electricity and coping with the disruption). The Street Fair Committee, Riverside Festival, The Beer Festival, The Memorial Hall, The Fire Service and The Co-Op all need our thanks for lending us their equipment, expertise and manpower. And thanks to all those to turned out on a soggy afternoon to spend their money. It was great to have so much community support.

I'll second that! It was great. Particular thanks to Tina for producing such a fantastic dance show! Absolutely brilliant! I hope the CSA raised plenty.
