WODC are proposing to make significant cuts to the budgets of some local volunatary services, including the Citizens Advice Bureau, the Wychwood Project and Chippy Theatre. Although the council are proposing to freeze council tax, they have the reserves to support these organisations, and the cuts are strictly unneccessary. They are also potentially damaging to the well being of vulnerable people - the CAB will have to cut its Rural Advice Project, which provides assistance to people unable to visit a bureau or get help by phone.

There is an online survey at www.westoxon.gov.uk/furtherinfo/whatsnew.cfm/1072 which will be up until February 10th. If you don't want to see these local services cut, please let WODC know by completing the survey.
