Sharp eyed viewers may have noticed that the video clips of David Cameron giving his reaction to Liam Fox's resignation were shot on the drive leading to the Charlbury Rail station.

Indeed part of the drama of Friday afternoon played out around the celebration to mark the redoubling of the Cotswold Line and the commencement of work on the car park extension at Charlbury Rail station. Contrary to the impression given in today's Sunday Telegraph, where two of Charlbury Morris' finest are featured prominently on page 11, the PM was quite composed and undistracted at the FGW celebration and the men of Charlbury Morris retreated to a safe distance as requested by the PM's security personnel.

The photo in the Telegraph is from some other event, but photos of the actual event are on the Charlbury Morris web site.

A nice report of the complete event can be found on Witney TV

And (here's the pitch) if you are interested in playing your part in national events, Charlbury Morris' regular practices begin on 28 October and newcomers are welcome.
