Photo is of Lucky enjoying his dinner. Pleased to report that after two nights recovery,Lucky has passed with flying colours. He has done all that a hedgehog should do, including gaining 75 grams in weight!!

Thanks to all who rescued Lucky, amazing job.He will be set free tonight to continue his travels and adventures in Charlbury.

Watch out for Lucky, or any other hedgehogs, and please leave water out in your gardens.

Thank you so much everyone for the rescue of this beautiful 700 g hedgehog ! It's sleeping as it should be at the moment  in a box of hay. More news soon.

Yes, having used a variety of tools and techniques for two hours, a team of eight rescuers, from three generations of Charlburians, were rewarded with the safe extraction of the hedgehog from its place of entrapment - some 25/30 cm deep in a vertical metal pipe of 10/12 cm diameter. The fortunate creature is now in the safe hands of Flora Gregory who believes it is in good health and will keep it under observation for a few days.

This is the location. He thinks it is breathing still but doesn't think he can get water to it as it is completely trapped and its head is hidden.

My son and his friend have found a hedgehog stuck in a hole (maybe one made for the goalposts) on none acres. Are there any hedgehog experts who can help rescue it? I would be scared of hurting it.
