Aww this is very sad. So sorry for your loss. He was such a lovely character.  Piggie and I will miss seeing you with him, in Ticknell.

Oh Janet!

I am so sorry to hear that you have just lost Togo.

I remember so well how he and Josie, our somewhat bonkers Golden Retriever, used to play and rush around in the fields just off Woody Lane and in Ticknell Piece; they so enjoyed being utterly silly and using up so much energy and were very good at recognising each other from huge distances.

Commiserations to you.  Andrew.

I have fond memories of Togo when he was a young thruster, trying to bring him under control on the Mill field! A lovely dog with a sweet nature and a will of his own. St Thomas Aquinas was unsure if dogs go to heaven but…

Yesterday we lost our beloved goldendoodle, Togo, to Bloat. He was going to be 12 this month.

Bloat is a terrible condition in dogs that if not treated immediately, results in certain death. Look out for retching but nothing is produced, a swollen and hard tummy, a dog that is unsettled, then retching with frothy mucus. We had heard of bloat but did not recognise it in time and the vets were unable to save him.

If your dog gets any of these symptoms, do not wait, contact the vet immediately.

Togo will be much missed.

Janet.
