Part-time Finance Manager needed

I am looking for a part-time Finance Manager for my CIC, MadLab, because our current FM (of 16 years) is leaving.

Hours are approximately 4.5 a week (averaged over the last 12 months), working from home.

Regular Tasks

- Send invoices for work completed, chase payments when due

- Enter bills and expenses received, attach document to Freeagent & keep backup files

- Pay bills and expenses weekly

- Reconcile bank statement on receipt

- Payroll - check timesheets for additional time, generate payslips in Freeagent, set up bank payments, update NEST account and submit pensions payment (collected by direct debit)

- VAT returns to end of January, April, July, October

- Respond to finance queries

- Set up annual cashflow forecast and monitor against this

- Notify directors of shortages of income or over budget spending

- Provide costings & cashflows for bids

- Monitor spend against grants and provide end of grant spend reports

- Check HMRC account monthly, pay balance due, check tax code changes etc on Freeagent

- Annual insurance renewal April

- Companies House annual return December

- CIC report to send with accounts when complete

- Review funding contracts and understand claim dates and requirements

- Set up contracts for new staff members, set up pensions, payroll

A full handover will be provided by the current FM.

Ideally, we are looking for someone experienced in working with CICs. Knowledge of the arts and education sector is a bonus.
