Mon 14 Sep, 20:44 (last edited on Mon 14 Sep, 20:46) If you want lots of detail but little strength then a resin printer can provide these. Lots of mucking about with liquids and baths. FDM printing ( drum of plastic string) can give strength and is good for larger items below 300mm x 300mm. Get an auto levelling bed. These are normally cheaper than resin printers. https://3dprinting.com/fdm-vs-resin-3d-printing/ Avoid bambulab printers as these have cloud service lock-ins. Some American printers now/will have to have STL scanning build in to prohibit anything printing that looks like a gun so avoid these printer also. If I had to buy a new 3D printer I would go for k1c carbon as it can print parts with carbon filled filament ( strong for gears ) the https://www.creality.com/products/k1c-carbon-3d-printer . |
