Sat 5 Sep, 18:09 Yes, the road is open again, which is much more convenient for those of us wanting to get from A to B (in which I very much include myself as a resident of Fawler Road who has been unable to drive into or through the town without a significant detour). But I have to say that after nearly four weeks without the noise and even more the air pollution generated by the normal amount of traffic along Fawler Road, I can see the attractions of the Quiet Lanes policy that has led to a fair amount of controversy elsewhere in the county. |

Sat 5 Sep, 11:57 It probably is Jacqueline because we saw a bus coming into Charlbury from the Fawler Road earlier this morning but always best to check online. Thanks to everyone who has contributed updates during the works: they have been very helpful! |

Fri 4 Sep, 12:28 Is Fawler Road now open for good or is it closing again on 13th? I’m confused. |
