Thanks Susie, I’ve been contacting WODC regularly but they don’t seem to be able to provide any specific updates as they contract out the replacement service, only that they’ve ‘escalated’ it. Just wondered if anyone else had any luck yet.

Have any other victims of the bin burning had theirs replaced yet? We requested a replacement on the 11th August and it’s well over the 30 working day deadline promised by the council.

Karen, it's not prankster, it is arson, a criminal offence:

Arson - criminal damage by fire

Arson - criminal damage with intent to endanger life or reckless as to whether life endangered

Criminal damage (other than by fire) value exceeding £5,000/ Racially or religiously aggravated criminal damage

Criminal damage (other than by fire) value not exceeding £5,000/ Racially or religiously aggravated criminal damage

Threats to destroy or damage property

Kids have been setting bins on fire on hixetwood . Fire engine been out. Luckily one that was next to the electric pole and shrubby was found by dog walker and moved before the whole lot went up Please check your bins and remind your children this not funny and very dangerous.
