My favourite wildlife encounter this summer - two leverets chasing a magpie in the cornfield field at Walcot. Evening romps!

We’ve had two Hawk-moths fly into the house recently. I’d only ever seen one before that in all my 63 years.

Spotted one of  these feeding on a fuschia this afternoon. Look so exotic…read about them before but not seen one. Good article  Emily, thanks

Hawk moths are migrating here because of the change in climate. Expect to see more: https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2026/jul/30/hummingbird-hawk-moth-sightings-migrating-uk

We've had two visits from hummingbird hawk moths in our garden over the past couple of days.  That's three sightings this summer - never seen one before.

I've just watched two in my back garden. Just click on 'image' on the small tool bar (it looks like a small mountain) and then just attach the image and then 'post comment', I'll show on Saturday ;-)

I have just had a heart warming encounter, two hedgehogs, presume a mum and youngster in a rewilded garden. They even stayed for a photo. Delightful, I would have liked to share the photo but don't know how to on the forum.
