Bargain books - a reminder

Just a reminder that alongside our excellent fiction & non-fiction titles in the Morris Room, Neil Pakenham-Walsh curates a wonderfully quirky roomful of books for 50p each.  Many of these are generously donated by Charlburians*, but many are the by-product of my own book-dealing.

Essentially anything suitable that I can't sell elsewhere for at least £5 (£10 if the book is large) tends to end up with Neil.  So in the last month I've cleared a collection belonging to a recently-deceased bibliophile in Yorkshire (including some lovely good-condition 'thirties hardback fiction), and just this last week have brought back several hundred books from a member of the aristocracy who's downsizing to a seven-bedroom house in the Cotswolds.

In other words, if you pop into the Oliver Watney room in the Corner House when you're in the centre of town, you'll find a fresh selection of books there every day (except when Neil's on holiday) .. all at 50p and some worth twenty times that.  (You can always pay us more if you think that they're too cheap -- the proceeds go to the Corner House, and those new toilets won't pay for themselves.)  Happy hunting!

* on the trolley in the Morris Room, please -- they'll find their way to Neil!
