Our monthly "Morris Room talk" next Wednesday (5th) is a Summer Special.  It's in the Memorial Hall Garden Room, rather than the Morris Room, so that we can enjoy the garden and bar .. and make use of the piano there for a musical soirée.

Geoffrey Strachan will introduce and sing the first verse of eight music hall songs ranging from 1890 to 1919, inviting the audience to join in every chorus.  Fun in its own right -- but also a chance to learn more about the social conditions of the time that the songs reveal.

Come and join us from 6.30 pm, for a start at 7.00 pm.  Entry & refreshments free, donations invited.  All profits to Corner House & Memorial Hall.
