Assuming the roadworks don't extend to Fawler, an alternative route is to head out on the Woodstock Road and turn right to Stonesfield either just after the woods (Sheer's Copse)  or at the T junction further on. From Stonesfield, head to Fawler and then rejoin the B4022

So is it back to going to Witney via Leafield, or is there a better way?

A letter sent to us as residents of Fawler Road states that the road will be closed to through traffic for approximately 5 weeks starting 10 August to allow replacement of the gas network (new plastic pipes in place of the old metal gas mains).  Access to homes and busineses will apparently be possible  - I certainly hope so!

As far as I can see, it's the 10 August - 13 September. It also states closed all the time so I would presume that means that there will be no access at all during the works.

Does anyone have any details regarding the road closure for 5 weeks on Fawler Road.

I can't see anything on one.network about the roadworks.  I am wondering if they are going to have traffic lights or is it an overnight closure etc ?

Also, I can't be certain as I keep missing the dates and I maybe won't about this, but if it is a full road closure, the dates seem to cover the same weekend as Wilderness.

If anyone has anymore information, it would be greatly appreciated.
