Beer Festival Heroes...

On behalf of the whole CBF committee, I wanted to say a huge thank you for all the incredibly kind feedback we've received since the festival, via email, socials, and here. Reading your messages over the last week has been an absolute joy for the whole team.

We genuinely love putting this event on for Charlbury. Seeing everyone having such a brilliant time makes all the months of planning (and a lot of sweat!) completely worthwhile.

The honest truth is that a festival of this size simply wouldn't happen without the volunteers. So many people in this town generously give up their free time to make the day possible. To the absolute heroes who sweltered in the heat wrestling with marquees, and everyone who welcomed people at the entrance, poured pints, and kept the site spotless: thank you. You are the backbone of this event, and we really couldn't do it without you.

Because of all that hard work, and everyone who came along to support us, we've been able to raise a fantastic amount of money for local good causes. That is what it's all about. We'll be able to announce final figures in due course.

We are always on the lookout for fresh faces to join the core organising committee. If you fancy getting a bit more involved behind the scenes, whether you're passionate about beer, great at enticing sponsors, or just want to help plan a great day out for the town, we would absolutely love to hear from you. In particular, our brilliant Treasurer is going to be stepping down, so we are on the hunt for someone to take over the reins. If you have a head for numbers, love a good spreadsheet, and want to play a vital role in ensuring the funds we raise get safely to the right causes, we need you! Another wonderful event by the amazing Beer Festival Team. 

Well done, and a big thank you from all those who benefit and all those who enjoy the day.

I just wanted to give a belated 3 cheers to the team who put on the festival on Saturday - but especially the 'crew' who must have sweltered in that heat last week while putting up all the marquees.  Your heroic efforts did not go unnoticed, suspect the heat may have kept the numbers attending down a bit.  I've brought along some paying customers the last couple of years - including one with a famous rendition of Teenage Kicks with the Ukelele Band! They'll be back ....
