Sat 27 Jun, 10:39 The Cotswold Voluntary Wardens have put up a rope barrier on either side, with warning notices. Do not try to pass through the branches that are resting on the path. The big branch above is not secure, and it's very heavy. We have notified OCC's footpaths officer and the Town Clerk, who will be able to commission professional services to bring it down safely. Remember that there is an alternative footpath that runs from the top of Little Lees to higher up Woody Lane, so that you can bypass the fallen branch safely. |

Sat 27 Jun, 09:33 (last edited on Sat 27 Jun, 09:37) I didn't know its name until I looked it up: 'Woody Lane' - the path opposite Dancers Hill, if you cross over Sturt Road. Any axe/chainsaw enthusiasts (legal) living in Charlbury with time on their hands wanting to make a difference to a rare shady people/dog walk in hot weather?! |

Sat 27 Jun, 05:48 Morning all. A large Ash tree branch has come down blocking Woody Lane. You might want an alternate walking route. |
