Sun 14 Jun, 10:11 Blimey, it’s only taken the Daily Mail 50 years to produce an article I actually agree with. 😂 |

Sun 14 Jun, 10:08 Discussion of the RB proposals was previously halted on this Forum precisely because of the sort of misinformation and divisive personal accusations now rearing their heads again. I have no intention of breaching that beyond saying, as a retired Planning Inspector, that the planning issues are complicated, that it is NOT a brownfield site - and that I am greatly saddened by the misinformation now obviously in circulation again and the division it is causing within our community. I hope the site administrators will at least prevent it again on the Forum. |

Sun 14 Jun, 10:03 Hi Will, thx for your response. Sadly, it hasn’t stopped them so far from proposing a large housing estate on the existing AOB, so one can’t be naive, it really is only a matter of time that this experienced and very wealthy developer, or possibly another larger developer will want to expand housing on those fields. |

Sun 14 Jun, 06:24 I'm surprised to see this site referred to a 'Brownfield Site". This conjures up an image of a derelict area with falling down buildings. I understand it used to be something to do with the Gas Works (correct me if I'm wrong) but it would appear from driving past that nature has done an excellent job of reclaiming it. |

Sat 13 Jun, 21:52 Highly unlikely. Woodstock nor Witney are in the AONB. |

Sat 13 Jun, 18:13 (last edited on Sat 13 Jun, 18:39) It is a PR spin piece full of inaccuracies before the planning meeting on Monday. I fear that if this goes ahead it is only a matter of time that the developers will look to secure more green belt land for housing estates along the rest of the fields along the B4437. Just take a look at Woodstock and Witney. There is massive amounts of money to be made by these wealthy developers and their investors. |
