Wed 10 Jun, 17:32 It is actually a 2 day event - today and tomorrow. And Wendy’s right, the traffic management plan certainly seems to have worked to ensure traffic does not travel through Charlbury. Woodstock Road no busier than normal, or the town centre this afternoon. We have heard from contacts that it is very very muddy on the site. This may help traffic flow if those visiting don’t stay for the whole day. |

Wed 10 Jun, 16:16 There was a comment somewhere on the Internet saying that it had delayed in getting their son ti his exams. They're obviously local , so must be totally aware of the traffic implications, basically just leave earlier. |

Wed 10 Jun, 14:41 (last edited on Wed 10 Jun, 15:08) Have to add getting to Chadlington is not an issue, very little traffic. So all the notifications appear to be working well. Chipping Norton also had notification so the organisers have tried their best to warn everyone. I have family in both locations. |

Wed 10 Jun, 13:50 It seems my post last Friday on this topic must have flown under the radar. As married to an agronomist and having significant experience of such events and linked traffic issues 1 did try an early warning. Too early perhaps?? |

Wed 10 Jun, 10:51 The letter explains in quite some detail that no traffic should come through Charlbury. |

Wed 10 Jun, 07:54 I had a letter weeks ago explaining what was happening and possible issues could even be a couple of months ago had maps and all information needed. He has certainly done everything he can to minimise issues giving us plenty warning/notice. Its a trade event, not open to general public. He is certainly trying to help the farming industry even if he is not a favourite for everyone. |

Tue 9 Jun, 23:15 So John Lennon's magnificent masterpiece which includes the line "Sitting on a Cornflake, waiting for the van to come" was written about Jeremy Clarkson and Doddly Squit. Who knew?! Maybe they can turn it into a Cereal. And will the Codfather start selling Semolina Pilchard and Chips? |

Tue 9 Jun, 19:54 I wondered what the 'Cereals' signs were for recently. I thought we were all going to receive a mini box of Kelloggs cereal through our letter boxes. Now we know! Christine Battersby - you deserve an MBE at least for your sharing of useful information locally. Thanks to you. |

Tue 9 Jun, 18:14 Just seen online that Diddly Squat Farm is expecting 30,000 people for the cereals event tomorrow, and presumably on Thursday as well. Clarkson is warning that there will be parking problems. That seems like an understatement. Chadlington, Burford Rd, Chipping Norton area best avoided if you can ... |
