Mon 8 Jun, 11:48 It's on the left hand side of the Charlbury Rd when driving into Chipping Norton via the Spelsbury route, near the (very difficult) junction with the Burford Rd. The original plan was for many more houses on the right of Charlbury Rd, spreading round the East and North East of Chipping Norton. Some of these areas might yet be scheduled for development. But the planners needed to have a radical rethink after a major archaeological find relating to pre-Roman and Roman settlements were discovered to the right side of Charlbury Rd. The area that includes the archaeological remains is now protected and deemed to be of national importance. |

Mon 8 Jun, 09:26 (last edited on Mon 8 Jun, 09:28) Can anyone help me envisage where the Charles Church development of 100 new homes might be please? I can't work it out from the filed plan. If this is going to be in addition to the Deanfield Homes development and Rushy Bank, one begins to wonder what improvements will be made to Charlbury's infrastructure to cope with a significant increase in traffic, patients, and children. |
