Watch out at long on!

I’ve heard the shotgun blasts all afternoon, and I thought they must have only just stopped but no still firing away.  From about 2pm to now.  Not an especially relaxing sound.

Was blasting away one day last week as well.

Someone has been banging away all afternoon - I assume at pigeons - behind a screen in the field above the First XI ground.  What A M-W would call 'just a normal shooting party' no doubt - though obviously well below his expectations...  Suggest have a good look if you find yourself fielding at long on / deep third man - he's only got to swivel a bit too far round and it'll be more than 'owzats' we'll be hearing!
