Wed 3 Jun, 10:38 I’ve been asked on behalf of a 45 yr old Iranian man, freshly granted refugee status, if there is anyone in the Charlbury area who would offer him a room to rent? He is very tidy, speaks good English and is keen to find employment as soon as possible (which he can now legally do). Universal Credit will cover the cost of the rent. Once he has an accommodation address he will find it much easier to get work. People granted refugee status in the UK generally have a 42-day notice period (6 weeks) from the date of their positive asylum decision to leave their Home Office-provided asylum accommodation. If no alternative has been found by then they will have no place to go and may end up destitute. Please contact me for more information via this site. Many thanks. |
