Thanks to everyone who helped in any way at Open Gardens yesterday and the people who opened their gardens. We were very busy servings teas :  thanks to all who baked, served and washed up. We would ideally like a couple more people to help with this next year. If this is something you could do, please contact me! Thanks. Liz

There will also be red campions in small pots to give away at the corner house garden. You need 3 plants to give best chance of pollination. Bring a bag or container if you want some. First 20 customers only! As sown and planted by Anne Miller’s wild flower planting group.

Given the Nature Recovery theme, does anyone know if any of the gardens have wildlife ponds? We’re looking for pond inspiration!

I've got a surplus of Xmas roses and epimedium for anyone to take away if they want. Plus a few other bits and pieces.

Do come and support the Open Gardens this Sunday. The gardeners have been working hard in the heat and the rain to present an inspiring display for you!  We have all the usual attractions including the  Children's Quiz as well as tea and cake at the Memorial Hall. Tickets £5 on the day . Open 2-5pm
