Country Life on potholes (Roads)

Using the Waze satnav app can be helpful - potholes can be recorded live on its map (if safe to do so) and where marked, drivers are forewarned and can slow down or avoid them (where there's room).

Not 100% perfect - the time lag when moving and recording a pothole can mean the location might be 100 yards out. But users get a 0.3 mile notice - so broadly, Waze helps.

A well written article. Localish interest as it mentions Oxfordshire, B4437 and Bidwell Lane. It also mentions section 56 where an individual can sue the council in the courts forcing them to repair a specific road - this is how Bidwell lane the road with the worst potholes in England got repaired.

I have to say though that great progress is being made in repairing the potholes. Most people seem to drive very carefully avoiding the potholes - slow driving being good for the environment. I appreciate some people feel they need to go places in a hurry. Maybe leave a bit earlier?
