I really like the Missing Bean but some of their customers do block the pavement and refuse to move out of the way. I can just walk on the road but for those with my mobility issues or people with prams/pushchairs, it’s not possible.

Sorry Stephen and George you’ve had issues walking by.

Managed to post comment twice. It wasn’t that profound it needed that!

I think it is possible celebrate having two Cafés and also suggest blocking pavements is not a good idea. And whilst it maybe  a minor inconvenience for me, as has been pointed ou, it is a major issue for anyone with a mobility need. There are indeed legal issues around blocking pavements and I know this is a matter being taken further. To make the point again; our community owned Deli and cafe have a lovely garden where one can enjoy a coffee in the lovely corner house garden without impeding people who like to use the pavement, rather than the street for walking.

Why not take that up with the owners of said café instead of complaining about it on the Forum?

"Not a massive inconvenience" if you're privileged enough to be non-disabled.

Or, as it's not a massive inconvenience, we could just celebrate our good luck in having two such popular cafes.

it was great having coffee in the corner house garden on Saturday. So good to have our Deli and  café so well used. Somewhat of a contrast to missing Been on market Street where people wanting to have their coffee in the fresh air sit at tables that block the pavement. On a number of occasions I’ve had to walk in the road to avoid peoples feet, and in one case someone actually having put their chair across the pavement.. Not a massive inconvenience but if people want to have coffee out in the sun , they should really do that in the  corner house garden  after having used our local deli.
