Fri 17 Apr, 12:44 I think with the Disater of Trump’s war we all need to think how we can contribute to lowering our reliance on fossil fuels. I think the local authorities in west oxon/oxon need to consider how they encourage the installation of solar panels rather than letting us all wonder whether it’s possible to have these In terms of all the planning arrangements. I have looked at this in the past and gave up because I couldn’t work out whether permissions were needed or not. I am however pursuing this now. |

Sat 11 Apr, 11:12 Its a grey area. We got pre-planning advice from wodc and they said we did not need full planning, but our panels are hardly visible from the highway. |

Sat 11 Apr, 10:58 Others will know more than me .. but I'm not sure that we did anything for ours (or if something needed to be done, the installer did it). I do know that there's a presumption in favour, and it shouldn't be a problem. What I can say is that we're delighted with the result (we have a battery too). I'm a tight-fisted old so & so, and the fact that for three or four months of the year we use neither gas nor electricity (and even in winter we use less than half what we used to) and that my car now runs on sunshine gives me daily pleasure. |
