I have been speaking to Thames Water today as our property is on of those affected - above the works and am waiting a call back from contractors. 
Yes, seems possible to get through early am and evenings but no traffic on road at present.

On the plus side, Thames Water did deliver bottled water to properties affected on Saturday - a contingency action I am told.

Despite the signage remaining in place, the big hole was safely passable at 6pm last night, and again at 7.30 this morning.
