Fri 6 Feb, 13:06 For everyone's information: Hundley Way is unadopted bridal way/right of way, which means OCC and Highways is not responsible for the upkeep and it should not be resurfaced with tarmac. It is for walkers, horses, livestock and cyclists and therefore should remain as it is. Cars really shouldn't be using the bridal way but obviously do because there is no other access to people's homes. Residents who live on the lane, such as myself and others, frequently maintain the lane in the style it is in, without tarmac. We are aware of the potholes and have plans to remedy the situation. Please do not take it upon yourself to either get Highways to fill the holes or doing it yourself. Please get in touch with one us. We want it to remain an area of outstanding natural beauty and safe for horses, livestock and walkers. Thank you. |

Thu 5 Feb, 21:07 Does anyone know why the bottom of Hundley Way has been tarmacked and which authority authorised it? It’s a bridal way, not a road. |
