Tue 13 Jan, 11:42 In answer to your question, Kim, when we set up the Community Workshop, we had four main aims in mind. To provide a place for people who feel the need for some social companionship. To help people learn new craft skills. To have a place where people can pass on their skills and experience; and - as a follow-on from all that - a place where people can bring things that they would like to have repaired rather than just sending them to the dump. |

Tue 13 Jan, 08:54 Is it worth giving us all a little reminder of how the workshop works? I wasn't aware that they did repairs :-) |

Tue 13 Jan, 01:47 They are absolutely brilliant .. tackling almost any job with cheerful ingenuity. I've set them some interesting challenges over the last year, and they've solved all of them with aplomb, keeping all sorts of things out of landfill! |
