Hi Jenny,

I use betterbird these days https://www.betterbird.eu which is a bugged-fixed version of Thunderbird. I've also had to turn to floorp  ( https://floorp.app ) instead of firefox as Mozilla seems intent on pushing AI slop into everything and floorp can disable it.

With regards to imap setting for Thunderbird/Betterbird  a good guide is here https://www.fastcomet.com/tutorials/mail/thunderbird-imap-configuration . Most folks get caught out on the smtp part ( sending of the email ). If your email provider is not the same as your ISP, then use the email provider smtp settings.

Can anyone recommend:-

- someone with knowledge of updating email server settings  (Thunderbird)

- someone who can upgrade my desktop PC
