Cornbury Park - New Years Day Walk 2026

1st January 2026 – 9am to 4pm

The residents of Charlbury are warmly invited to enjoy a New Year’s Day walk in the Deer Park at Cornbury between 9am and 4pm. Access will be through the main North Lodge entrance.

The North Lodge pedestrian gates will open at 9am. To help ensure a safe and peaceful day for everyone, please keep the following in mind:

1. Please do not park on the drive at North Lodge.

2. Keep to the roads and hard tracks at all times and remain within the Park boundaries.

3. Staying on the tracks helps protect the quieter areas of the Park, including the thorns and the North West quadrant, where the deer seek sanctuary. Walking in these areas can cause them stress.

4. Dogs are not permitted in the Park, even on leads, as they can disturb the deer, particularly while they are in-fawn.

5. The Park is open for walking only — please no bicycles.

6. Keep a safe distance from trees (please do not stand or sit beneath them) and keep away from the edges of the lakes.

7. Please respect the privacy of Cornbury House and the other homes within the Deer Park.

8. Please follow any additional guidance provided by signage or members of the Estate team.
