Where on the primary school website can one find the proposal for reducing the number of admissions, and the reasons why this is desirable?

The only thing I could see under policies for 26/27 still said that the admission target would be 30. Is it simply because of the falling birth rate or are there other reasons? Is it likely that children in the catchment area might be disadvantaged by the proposed reduction in numbers?

Charlbury Primary School are consulting on a proposal to lower the Published Admission Number for Charlbury Primary School from 30 to 20.

In order to transition to the new proposal, the school is also submitting a variation request to adjust the admissions arrangements for the academic year for 2026/27.

You can visit www.charlburyschool.org for details of the proposal and how you can respond. The consultation closes on 28 January at 3pm.
