They just seemed to have been missing on my last trip by, they would have  been "processed " a week or so before collection. John H

It's fresh geese, not frozen, John. In earlier years the collection dates for fresh geese and turkeys have been in Christmas week.

I think the geese went to that dinner plate in the sky some days ago!/

Fairspear Hill Farm is used for filming local rural and environmental projects, at least according to AI.

It's a goose and poultry farm, and it therefore seems likely that the planned film on December 17th has to do with Christmas and geese.

Why did the geese cross the road?

One.network describes it as:
Filming - under temporary obstruction/manned stop&go 10min max.
Location
B4437 - 60m East of A361 to west of Junction with road leading to Fairspear Hill Farm; USRN: 83000833

And it is official.

So, what's this filming on the B4437 17th December? Is it an official road closure?

My friend ChatGPT couldn't find any notice about a Special Event.
