We tried Superdrug Witney on Friday but they do not accept blister packs there. They directed us to Boots where we found the receptacle a couple of yards from the 'Prescriptions Counter'. The instructions regarding the loyalty cards & points were clearly visible but we didn't try to take advantage of that.

  1. The Charlbury Patient Participation Group (CPPG)set up this service at Averose Pharmacy which was initially funded by the Town Council as a one off basis. They subsequently generously funded 2 further boxes but can not  fund any more. They do not come cheap at £108:00 per box. This includes delivery and collection. I have applied to Wilderness to see if they will give us a grant to continue this service but have not yet had a reply. We continue to look for further sources of funding, but meanwhile blister packs are recycled at Superdrug and Boots in Witney and at Boots in Chipping Norton.  If you recycle at Boots and have a loyalty card there is a way of getting points on your card every time you deposit your blister packs, but I was defeated in the attempt.

Does anyone know where these can be recycled? The chemist was collecting them but has stopped. The assistant told me the Council had redrawn the funding for the scheme.
